Industry Ministry says working on electronics supply to AvtoVAZ

MOSCOW, Aug 16 (PRIME) -- The Industry and Trade Ministry is working to resume supplies of electronics to car producer AvtoVAZ, a spokesperson told PRIME on Monday.

"The Industry and Trade Ministry is aware of the situation and is in constant contact with AvtoVAZ and producers, and suppliers of car electronics. The ministry is actively working on regularity of shipments in order to prevent car deficit on the market," the ministry said.

The carmaker said earlier that it would resume operations on Monday after a two-week vacation, but Lada Granta would not be produced for at least one more week due to the lack of electronic components.
